I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist /Psychotherapist . I specialise in one to one personal issue management, Couple Relationship Counselling, When negative things happen in your life, it seems that everything starts to go wrong. And, in today's world many are faced with difficult challenges and issues. These are often Modern day living is far more demanding on our bodies that produce chemicals that may have The purpose and benefit of Hypnosis can work on both levels boosting a conscious willingness to challenge oneself and minimising conscious interference making you the master of your emotion rather than your emotion controlling you. The role of a hypnotist in a therapeutic setting is to help you establish communication pathway with your unconscious mind in order to overcome your inner obstacles and reach a state of your own ability to deal with issues. Hypnosis generally focuses on and amplifies people’s strength. Hypnosis begins with the premise that the client has valuable abilities that are present and hidden, abilities that can be uncovered and used in a deliberate way to overcome symptoms and problems. The conscious and unconscious thought patterns have a different set of functions but also share a considerable number of functions between them. The unconscious mind is not rigid or analytical All change takes place at the unconscious level we become aware of the change consciously when we are ready. Hypnosis is not sleep -people in Hypnosis trance are more awake to themselves and are in full control of what you want to take in. This is one way to access the hidden treasure-house of our minds is through deep relaxation of mind and body. Yet another is when someone says something and it captures your imagination to the point that what you are imagining how it feels subjectively real to you.
What does a Hypnotherapist do? Modern Clinical Hypnotherapy is a powerful form of Psychotherapy combining cognitive (thinking) therapeutic counselling techniques with subconscious healing/therapeutic techniques. Clinical Hypnotherapy: can assist you to connect your conscious awareness to your sub-conscious/unconscious beliefs and desires and thus enables you to begin to understand to find solutions between the two, resulting in reduced feelings of stress and anxiety and increased feelings of calmness and positive energy. Clinical Hypnotherapy has been used widely and successfully for many years in Australia and overseas for the relief of a number of problems and conditions.
The benefits of Hypnotherapy is becoming well known in the community as being an effective way for giving up smoking and for weight management, Clinical Hypnotherapy is also powerful and is used in many areas of life in which people experience symptoms of pain, stress, anxiety and tension – some examples are listed below:
Gaining permanent, positive outcomes from Clinical Hypnotherapy can take anywhere from one or two sessions to many weeks of therapy depending upon the complexity of the problem and the nature of the underlying subconscious beliefs that are causing or contributing to the problem. The best approach is based on the clients needs and this is discussed during the consultation. By choosing the best process that suits your needs and by working together may involve various approaches in support, education, guidance, Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP, Psychotherapy Solution Focus or Coaching. Your presenting emotions can be painful at times, to you so the purpose in discussing the various types of therapy is to suit your individual needs and more importantly to enhance the strengths you already have, rather than solely focusing on what is not working for you. For us to change we need to think differently to find the solution. One of my favourite sayings is: “We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them”. Albert Einstein.
And quite often asking the right questions will assist you to think from another perspective enabling you find your own solution as Nancy Willard quoted in the Meaning of Life “Sometimes questions are more important than answers”.
