Articles submitted for the Journal are reviewed by members of the Editorial Board and other qualified readers.  They are selected on the basis of merit, contribution and interest. The name of the author is not considered.

NOTE: Articles are rejected by the Editorial Board if they do not meet the required standards of academic journals. The most frequent reason is the absence of supportive referencing to other authoritative sources, from reading or other research, on the topic being written about. Personal opinion and theories about a subject, like simple case studies, need to be backed up by formal references to the work of other writers who have investigated the same or related fields.

Subscribers to the Journal include most of the major hospitals and universities in Australia, the United Kingdom, the USA, Malaysia and New Zealand, where they are used for academic research, as well as for general reading.

Manuscripts for consideration should be submitted electronically to the editor or by mail on USB drive. The submissions are to be double spaced in Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Wordstar, Office Writer, Microsoft Works, and/or Mac Write. The word processing programme used and version number are to be specified in writing on the title page of the manuscript.

Articles do not usually exceed 4,500 words.

The Editorial Board of the ASCH has adopted the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Fourth Edition (1994) as the guideline for reference citations.
