Developing the relationship between the conscious and unconscious minds

Practitioners of hypnotherapy and the new code of NLP recognise the importance of engaging the unconscious mind to facilitate change. This includes changes in states, behaviour, beliefs and identity and creating resourceful responses to events and ideas. The unconscious is the mind that we engage to develop and activate effective resources for achieving the outcomes chosen by our clients and ourselves.

In the world of NLP there are two distinct forms. The original and its derivatives, referred to as the Classic Code of NLP and the New Code of NLP developed by Dr. John Grinder and his colleagues.

One of the advantages of the New Code of NLP is that self application is readily possible. We can learn to develop outcomes and access and engage the unconscious mind for ourselves as well as guide clients to find and apply their own outcomes. In this webinar Chris will describe and illustrate the application of the New Code of NLP and its relationship to the practice of Ericksonian Hypnosis with examples.

The presentation will include an overview of the New Code of NLP, the functions of the conscious and unconscious minds, and simple practices for developing the relationship between conscious and unconscious minds.

By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to apply some simple and effective strategies to their personal exploration and to private practice with their clients.
