Myth of the Visual, Auditory and Kinaesthetic Person

In this webinar, Chris will address a misinterpretation within the NLP community that people have a dominant or preferred representational system. Contrary to commonly held beliefs, John Grinder challenges the notion that people have an overall preference for one representation system, emphasising the dynamic nature of representational system use. He will explore the concept of representational systems as a coding and ordering of thinking, memory, and imagination, explaining how individuals use various combinations of internal representations. Chris will provide a detailed analysis of eye-accessing cues and discuss the conscious and unconscious use of representational systems. Real-world examples and case studies demonstrate the application of representational systems in therapy, hypnotic induction, and NLP practices. He will also explore the concept of (representational system) synesthesia and its significance in NLP, hypnosis, and therapy.
