Therese Elsey is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse with over 30 years experience working in the mental health field, and specifically over 20 years of experience and education in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. In 2013, she made the transition from NSW Health to establish her private practice, where she provides comprehensive therapeutic and clinical supervision services. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, holistic, and trauma-informed, drawing heavily from principles of Attachment Theory. She employs a blend of modalities, including positive-oriented counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Mindfulness-based and DBT-informed strategies. Additionally, her training enables her to integrate techniques from Hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
