Hypnotherapy Today
An initiative of the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists (ASCH), showcasing articles about hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, counselling, mental health, and more.
ASCH Journal
The first edition of the Australian Journal of Clinical Hypnotherapy & Hypnosis was published in March 1980.
It is with regret that in October 2021, the ASCH Board decided to stop publication of the The Australian Journal of Clinical Hypnotherapy & Hypnosis. It was proving to be too costly to produce.
The final edition was published in November 2020, and is free access. See the contents below, and click the download button to access the PDF.
Seeking Treatment
Seeking hypnotherapy treatment involves working with a qualified clinical hypnotherapist to access a deeply relaxed state of mind, allowing positive changes to be made at the subconscious level. This state, often described as similar to daydreaming or the moments just before sleep, enables individuals to address unhelpful thought patterns, habits, or trauma.
No referral is usually required, though a medical check may be recommended for physical concerns. When choosing a hypnotherapist, it’s important to ensure they are professionally accredited, such as those listed by the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists (ASCH), and adhere to ethical standards.
